Dr. Stephanie Alford

Dr. Stephanie Alford earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island, Canada. Her love of animals began at an early age, growing up around dogs and spending much of her childhood attending dog shows. These experiences sparked a lifelong passion for animal care and helped shape her path toward veterinary medicine. Raised in Massachusetts, Dr. Alford spent her summers and Christmas holidays in Orient, New York, where her family’s roots run deep. Today, she lives in the original farmhouse in Orient Point, where her family has been farming for nearly 400 years. This strong connection to the community has instilled in her a deep appreciation for hard work, tradition, and service. Dr. Alford provides compassionate, high-quality care for dogs and cats, with a focus on preventive medicine, client education, and strengthening the bond between pets and their families. She believes that every pet deserves individualized care and that open communication with pet owners is essential to achieving the best possible outcomes. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Alford enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, especially when they can be outdoors together exploring the natural beauty of the area. She considers it a privilege to care for the pets of her community and is honored to be a trusted partner in their health and well-being.
