Laysha

Laysha has been a valued member of the MLVH team since November 2025. She has successfully completed her veterinary technician program at LaGuardia Community College and is preparing to take her state exam. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2019, gaining hands-on experience as a veterinary assistant. Lashya has generously volunteered her time with the ASPCA and several animal shelters. She has further developed her skills in surgery while working at VCA. She later became Head Surgical Technician at Setauket Animal Hospital before joining our team. She also holds multiple certifications, including Fear Free certification, reflecting her dedication to compassionate, low-stress patient care. Lashya’s love for animals began early in life, growing up on her family’s farm in Ecuador before moving to the United States. Outside of work, she enjoys dancing and practicing Tae Kwon Do. She shares her home with an American Eskimo and two tabby cats, and she loves spending her free time with them.
